Autograph letter signed, dated : Paris, to [Henry Fothergill] Chorley, 1854 Dec. 19.

Reporting on the success of L'enfance du Christ in Paris, asking his help is arranging a performance in England during the 1856 season, saying that he will send Chorley the libretto so he may begin his translation--"en ayant soin de couper les vers anglais sur le patron de vers français"--, adding that after the first performance he received "une foule de lettres fort curieuses, une entre autres de Gounod," mentioning Scudo, Wilde [i.e. Henry Wylde], etc.
